Help Garett have a sterile and comfortable home

Garett is our 15 year old nephew whom is taking the challenge to beat Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia X 2.  He was diagnosed with this when he was 9, underwent 3 1/2 years of treatment with a 2 year remission.  This past July the cancer returned.

Garett has been in and out of the University Of Vermont Medical Center doing 30 day stays, as well as traveling to Boston to prepare him for his Bone Marrow Transplant.  He is undergoing his Transplant as I type this quest (12-12-19).

Garett will be spending two to six weeks in The Boston Children's Hospital.  Garett will be very sick while his body accepts the transplant.  Once he is stable enough he will be staying at The Boston House for two to four weeks.  While at The Boston House they will be going back and forth to many appointments at The Boston Children's Hospital.

Once Garett is stable enough they will allow him to travel back to Vermont.  Where we are preparing a sterile and isolated home for him and his mom to stay.  This isolation period will be a minimum of a six month period.   This home and traveling back and forth to Boston and Burlington, comes with a large expense.   Garett and Ginger will need to be isolated in their own place with as little as possible of any and all external germs and contact.   We will be applying fresh paint, flooring, and if enough funds a ramp and outdoor porch in case they will allow for visitors outside.

We are looking to help raise funds for Garett so that he can get the best care and housing possible.  My sister Ginger has chosen to be the dedicated person to be with Garett through the many weeks at the Boston Children's Hospital as well as the Six plus months of isolation.   This means no Job and little to no income.  One could only imaging this tremendous hardship.  Ginger has not been able to work since July when Garett was re-diagnosed with Leukemia.   Garett's treatment plan will be spanning over 3 1/2 years.  This is beyond words of a financial burden to them.

Please consider making a donation to Garett so that we can support his healthy recovery.  The stress of going through this terrible word called Cancer is more than anyone should have to endure.  But, adding a tremendous financial burden on top of that just breaks down the ability to heal.

Any amount is helpful and we thank you so much for your ability and willingness to support our family through this process.

Let's work toward allowing Garett to get back to being the happy outdoors person he desires to be, just like the picture above shows him as.

I will be managing the funds that you all have donated to help pay for their rent, housing material and cleaning supplies.
