Help Gabriel fight the NOGI Pan Championship

To make a dream come true, sometimes we need to get out of the comfort zone.
And that's what happened to 16-year-old athlete Gabriel Bona.

The young Brazilian athlete was without sponsorship to compete in the 2019 Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, held in California, and the option was to never give up. So he started selling cookies on the street to raise money, was able to pay for the trip and even brought the heavyweight youth champion gold medal to Brazil.




“The idea of ​​selling cookies came from the realization that I could not travel to international competitions without money. I found no other option and my parents could not afford the costs. And since they also didn't allow me to stop studying to work, the way I found was to sell the cookies”.




Gabriel wakes up every day at 6 am, and has a very busy routine. Torn between selling cookies, training hard at the gym and studying, the schedule of the day is very detailed.
“It's hard to reconcile. I rest very little, I do not have time to have fun with my friends, but I know there are necessary sacrifices to achieve a goal. My parents support me, but they get upset because I have so little time with them. I stay away all day and they work hard, sometimes we don't even meet during the day, ”confesses Gabriel.
Even with the difficulties, the athlete has achieved an amazing curriculum. He currently has the IBJJF World Champion title, 2 times South American Champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion.




His next challenge will be in New York (USA). There, the young man will compete the Pan American Nogi, which will take place in September. He has already made an estimate of €2500 for the next trip. He will continue to sell cookies but now he is counting on your help to make him reach his goal and pay for all the costs of his international travel.
