Help fund Sueños De Mi Hija: A Short Film!

A word from our director: "Hi, my name is Cecilia Romo. I’m the writer and director of Sueños De Mi Hija (My Daughter's Dream), and on behalf of our crew, we would like to ask for help to afford production expenses for our student-run short film."

Plot description: Samatha is the strong-willed first-generation Latina daughter of an immigrant who is passionate about alternative punk rock music. Much to her mother's disapproval, she has a band performing at the local Battle of the Bands. Rosa is a stoic immigrant mother who has held various labor jobs in her lifetime and holds traditional Mexican values. Will Rosa ultimately accept and support her daughter's journey?

Sueños De Mi Hija will premiere at The Crest Theater for Sacramento State’s J Street Film Festival on December 15, 2022. Please help our student crew make a great-quality capstone film!
