On the weekend of September 4, PSL members on the ground in Central Gulf Coast distributed relief to our neighbors in LaPlace, Louisiana and covered the struggles people there continue to face. One week after hurricane Ida’s historic 150 mile winds of destruction, also fueled by climate change, hundreds and thousands of people continue to have no power, little food and water yet the federal government has done little to nothing to help the people we met.
