<div>Concord Carlisle for Informed Dialog is raising money to cover costs for hosting an informational event, called <strong>"Protecting Free Speech in K-12 and Beyond"</strong>, about the IHRA Definition of Antisemitism and issues regarding this definition raised by the <a href="https://www.aclu.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Reject-Definitions-of-Anti-Semitism-that-Encompass-Protected-Speech.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ACLU</a> and <a href="https://www.hrw.org/news/2023/01/26/human-rights-watch-letter-co-sponsors-proposed-aba-resolution-514-antisemitism" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Human Rights Watch</a> .

<div>The event will be January 15th, 7 to 9 pm at the Concord Carlisle High School Auditorium. Since we are a group of moms, our access to in-room A/V is limited.

<div>The intended audience for the event is other parents and school administrators. We will also be sending formal invitations to the local and neighboring synagogues. Due to the controversy around this topic, we will be requesting police presence<strong>.</strong>

<div>We have secured the following speakers to address the history of the definition, the problems it creates, and its conflict with First Amendment-protected political speech:

</li>
<li>Prof. Ben Eidelson, Harvard Law, teaching Constitutional and antidiscrimination law

<div>The money we are raising will cover:

</li>
<li>police presence
</li>
<li>costs to bring in Audio/Visual equipment, including video recording
