Help fund Presley's recovery

Donation protected
A huge thank you to all who have generously donated to help 4 year old Presley Shelman and her battle against  Leukemia.

Update: Presley is doing well considering her circumstances. She is a fighter and battling this cancer with all she's got! We are all blown away by the battle and determination she has shown. Presley just competed her 2nd round of intensive chemotherapy.
She had spent one month hospitalized during the initial diagnosis, the beginning stages of treatment and for round 1 (of 6) rounds of Chemo therapy.

Presley was released from Children's Mercy after round 1 to spend one week at home with her family before starting round 2.   Presley remains hospitalized for her 2nd round of Chemo treatments as she has very little  to fight infection and is experiencing alot of pain as she battles the hardest side effects that come with the intense chemo she is taking on.

One of the side effects to Presley's chemo treatments are the sores Presley gets in her mouth and throat, esophagus and chest. These sores are very painful and make it so that Presley's is unable to swallow, eat or drink.  Presley has a feeding tube now so that she is able to get the nutrients her body needs to fight this battle. Doctors say Presley will need the feeding tube for the duration of her treatment.

Presley is doing her best to build up strength so she can get a short few days of a break at home with her baby brother, older sister and dog Marley before starting round 3.

This will be a very long process to get Presley back to normal Please know that all of your support emotionally and financially is making a HUGE difference and she will be repeating this process for at least 4-5 more months if everything goes as well as planned.

While their medical expenses and costs continue to soar, as there are many gaps in what insurance will cover for Presley's on going treatments over the next 6 months,  Andrew (Presley's father) has been forced to take extended time off from work to help his wife Jessica care for their infant son and 7 year old daughter.   Andrew and Jessica currently alternate days/nights and the hospital and home so all children have one or the other parent each day.  The loss in income during this time only exacerbates the burden of mounting medical bills.

Again thank you all for your incredible support and if you have already been so kind enough to help the family.  Any size donation will help this family and if nothing else,  we just ask that you share this with others who might be willing to help as well.
