Mary has spent her life in service and support of others and now she needs your help.
In August 2018 Mary went in for her regular mammogram. She had no reason to believe it would be anything but normal. An anomaly was discovered and in September 2018 Mary went in for a biopsy that tested positive for cancer. The tumor is in an area where there is no discernible lump to the touch. Since her last mammogram in early 2017, it has gone from nothing to a 2 inch tumor.
Mary’s insurance has a large deductible and she is responsible for 40 - 50% of the medical fees depending on the treatment . Some of these are due up front, before they will perform the surgery she needs to save her life. She will also have a recovery period where she will not be able to work. We want Mary to recover without added financial stress. Mary is not one to ask for help, so we are asking for her. She needs help NOW. Anything you can offer, be it large or small will make a difference.
Mary's sweet parents are in their 90's and she wants to follow in their footsteps with a long and happy life. Mary, always thinking of others first, has asked that you do not share her diagnosis with her parents. She does not want to worry them .
