My name is Devon, and I am raising money to help a good friend's dog who needs to have his leg amputated. Amber is always willing to help anyone and always there when you need her. So let's pull together and be there for her like I know she would do for any one of us.
Kobe is the most loving, gentle dog. He has captured the hearts of anyone that comes around him. He just wants to come and say hi with the happy, goofy puppy look and wagging tail. The most damage he will do is to lick you to pieces. Kobe loves everyone and any other animal. He does not know a stranger. From adults, kids, babies, other dogs, and cats, there are no strangers with Kobe, only friends.
On Feb 9th, Kobe got out of the gate and caught his leg. Kobe has two fractures in his left leg, a dislocation in his left elbow, and possible nerve damage. The surgery to repair the leg is between $6,000-$10,000, and there is no guarantee he will be able to use his leg after surgery due to possible nerve damage. The best option is to get his leg amputated. The cost of the amputation is between $2,700-$3,000. Again, it has been hard on the family to make this tough decision. Unfortunately, the vets will not take a payment plan, and this is a cost that is not feasible to come up with quickly. Kobe will have a good, long life with an amputation. He has fought so hard to be in this world as he also had brain meningitis when he was a little over a year old. Amber has saved Kobe's life before, and she is doing all she can to save him now. Help me to raise the funds we need to help Kobe get the surgery.
I have included the X-rays and the medical report from the vet. All funds raised goes directly to the vet for surgery and after care.
