On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 12:35 a.m., our beloved father, husband, and brother, John Patrick Best, ascended into the Kingdom of God. John endured a long, tireless, fierce fight with Covid-19, which in the end took his body, but God ensured it did not touch his spirit.
This GoFundMe page is dedicated to our family. It is our hope that these contributions will relieve our mother, Judy Best, of some of the financial burdens this unexpected loss has caused. John was our rock, our advisor, and our financial provider. He was always there for his family, work, and churches. He pastored 3 churches while also having a full-time job as an attorney. He was a very compassionate and kind-hearted person who was always willing to sacrifice for any family member, co-worker, or member of his congregation.
Please do not feel pressured to donate, but if the spirit moves you to do so, we would like to express our immense gratitude for your love and well wishes. We know John would be so grateful for your kind contribution and blessings to our family.
We would like to also take this time to give thanks to all who have called, sent food, and prayed over our family. We are truly blessed to have you all in our lives.
An outdoor Celebration of Life will be held at New Palestine United Methodist Church, 8781 Shawneetown Trail, Walsh, IL 62297 on Saturday, April 3rd at 2pm. Thank you so much, and God bless!
