<div>My son's appeal lawyer, in total, is $20,000. The lawyer agreed to half down, and $1,000 a month payments until he is paid in full.  I raised $4,000 with GoFundMe, but had to take out loans, which are high interest, for the remaining $6,000.

<div>I'm going to be honest, I'm buried right now. No one is helping me. I'm the only one taking care of my son and I'm struggling. With the monthly loan payments, lawyer payments, sending money to my son, and my own bills…I am beyond broke.
