Help fund her medical bills

Donation protected
Hello my name is Jasmine Wood, and I decided tro start this GoFundMe in hopes to raise the money needed to pay of my grandmother's medical bills.
It is not easy asking for help as child who comes from a culture that is generally opposed to the idea of doing so- but it goes against my moral and religious obligations to ask for help when I know it is needed.

My grandmother, Anzirani Mohammed Mnzavas, is 87 years old. She resides in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. For the past decade and a half, she has had her share of medical conditions, but the most recent being short speels of dizziness, lack of breath and tightness in the chest area, and significant periods of hypotension. At the start of the year, doctors were assured that she suffered from pulmonary embolism (January 2023). She was provided with anticoagulants to reverse the clotting. Although there seemed to be slight progress, she still suffered from breathing issues, and was occassionnally rushed to the hospital and put on oxygen support.

Medical practicioners were still concerned with her condition and decided to run more tests. In February, her cardiologist decided to schedule an MRI to see whther anythong would explain her constant states of vertigo. Nothing of concern came up on the results. She was - which wound up showing two existing blockages in her plumonary artery. Anzirani underwent coronary angioplasty (a procedure used to open clogged heart arteries). During this the procedure, it was detected that she had fluid in her lungs. She was then discharged after a week adn sent home with medication to regulate her hypertension, and another kind that would dry the fluid found in her lungs. After discharge, she fell after a dizzy spell and knocked her head. She was concious during and after the fall.

Months passed by, and Anzirani's vertigo and fluctuation in blood pressure were still a constant issue. It was then decided that it would be best for her to live with her daughter, so her care could be supervised and personalized in the best way possible.

After a few family discussions, it was decided by that it would be best for Anzirani to seek medical care outside of the country. On September 15th,2023, Anzirani was admitted to BLK-MAX Super Specialty Hospital. It was here that she underwent another angioplasty, and two stint were placed in order prevent the collapse of the arteries. Another MRI was conducted, and a blood clot was located in her brain, which limited oxygen supplies needed. This also explains the fall, and it was determined by medical practitioners that the impact on the head induced a mild stroke.

Although multiple funds have been produced by family, travel and medical expenses have become hard to maintain on our own. Out of the total fee fron the hospital (totalling roughly $29,000) the family has been able to accumulate $18, 750. It would help Anzirani, and her family greatly if you could make any donation that you can. You are not just helping pay off a medical bill, but you are helping someone gain some peace of mind.

All funds will be sent to my aunt, who is the primary caregiver of my grandmother. Funds will be sent through Nala Money (a credible e-money transfer system based in Tanzania).

Insha Allah you can share this around, even if you can't make a donation. JazzakAllah Khair
