Dear friends, family and kind hearted, We come to you with heavy yet hopeful heart to share the story of our precious baby girl, Harmonie Fraser. At just one year and seven months old, Harmonie has already faced unimaginable challenges that no child should ever endure. It all began when Harmonie contracted a severe pneumonia infection that escalated quickly and led to a tragic cardiac arrest while hospitalized. In the blink of an eye, our vibrant, bubbly baby girl was fighting for her life, what followed was a harrowing experience filled with countless hours in the hospital, medical interventions and a desperate struggle to stabilize her condition. Due to the cardiac arrest, Harmonie suffered a hypoxic brain injury, a devastating consequence that has left us grappling with the reality of her situation. We hold on to the hope that she can recover, but we know the road ahead will be long and require extraordinary efforts and resources. Over the past few months baby Harmonie underwent an intensive hyperbaric oxygen treatment program. This innovative therapy has proven to be essential in helping enhance oxygen delivery to the brain. Thanks to the incredible medical team we have seen small yet significant signs of improvement. Her eyes now spark with more alertness, she's now eating more solid food and her little fingers grasp our hands growing with strength. Every day we witness her fighting spirit shines brighter and fill out hearts with hope. However, we know that the hyperbaric treatment is just one piece of the puzzle. To give Harmonie the best chance at recovery, she needs stem cell therapy, which could potentially reverse some of the damage caused by the hypoxic brain injury. Stem cell therapy has shown promise in children who have faced similar challenges, offering renewed hope for a brighter future. Unfortunately this cutting edge treatment is very costly, and we are reaching out for assistance as we cannot afford it alone.
