Hello, my name is Candex (Dex for short) and I am a 24 year old nonbinary trans person of color. (links here)
My family is abusive and definitely not supportive of any aspect of my queerness, let alone my medical transition, but I need to do this for myself. My dysphoria makes me incredibly suicidal and not taking action is really dangerous for my well-being.
The proceeds of this Gofundme also go to helping me out with legally correcting my deadname and gender markers, which is in total $734 if I did all my homework right.
This process is also incredibly important to me--to be legally recognized as nonbinary and to be addressed by my name, which shouldn't require all these hoops to jump through, with a price tag added to each one, but here we are.
The Tr*mp administration is making it increasingly difficult for trans/intersex people to exist and intends to wipe us out of legislation, taking away any of the few rights that not all of us even have access to.
Doing this is part of my own personal activism and visibility.
