<div>Hi All - my name is Chris and I am fundraising on behalf of my animal rescuer friends in Belize. They are raising funds to build an animal shelter south-west of Belize City to house, enrich, and provide a safe place to land for local dogs and cats. For those of you not familiar with Belize, the stray, abandoned, and abused animal reality is horrific, heartbreaking, and widespread. The vicinity of Belize City, the largest city in Belize, does NOT have an animal shelter of any kind and even vet services are few and far between.

</div>
<div>My friends are all volunteers and do everything they can to rescue, provide vet care, feed, and house as many animals as they can at their own expense and in their own homes. Belikats, an amazing volunteer group in the Belmopan area, is raising money to build a large cat and dog shelter so they can have a safe place to care for the animals while assessing the need for vet care, providing companionship and stimulation, and creating a central space for adoptions to take place. In the future this space can house spay and neuter clinics, a pet food pantry, and educational resources on responsible pet care and volunteer opportunities.

</div>
<div>This is an urgent plea for help - even a couple of dollars will make a huge difference in the lives of these animals. All funds raised will be sent directly to Belikats to help fulfill their vision. The estimates for the funds needed to construct the shelter have been completed and I can provide them upon request.

<div>Every rescue story begins with a choice: to look away or to step in. Right now, our daily lives are filled with the chorus of 17 dogs wagging their tails, the playful energy of 8 growing puppies, and the quiet, hopeful purrs of 54 cats. They are our family, and while they are safe and loved, they deserve so much more than the walls of my small home. They deserve a place where they can truly thrive.
</div>
<div>We are raising funds to build a proper shelter—a space designed not just for housing, but for healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our Vision for the Shelter:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Freedom to Move: Expansive outdoor runs where our dogs and puppies can race, play, and feel the grass under their paws.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A Feline Wonderland: Dedicated rooms filled with vertical climbing walls, perches, and enrichment areas designed specifically for a cat’s curiosity and comfort.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Room to Grow: A bigger, better facility that allows us to provide superior care and, most importantly, rescue even more animals in crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Path Home: A welcoming environment that facilitates more adoptions and has sufficient space for volunteers to come and help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Currently, we are doing our best with what we have, but these 79 animals need a "forever" home while they wait for yours.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The sanctuary will be built in the lush, green pastures of Valley of Peace in Belize, Central America.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us build a place where rescues don't just survive—they begin their best lives.
