It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of a family member of our beloved sister in God, Reynalda Cortez. The loss of Reynalda's brother, Humberto Castillo Cortez, was due to spinal cancer and organ failure caused by the cancer.

Humberto Castillo Cortez was born on November 3, 1959, and passed away on January 30, 2025, at 5:00 am with his sister Reynalda, niece Noemi, and nephew Moises Cortez by his side. Humberto is not only leaving behind his family here in Minnesota but also his wife, sons, and the rest of his family in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Humberto's sister Reynalda, niece Noemi, and nephew Moises have been the ones taking care of Humberto during his last days in the United States.

Humberto's last wish was to be buried in his home country of Oaxaca, Mexico, where his wife and children reside. Sadly, Humberto's family is having an extremely difficult time with medical bills, funeral costs, and figuring out how to send his body to Mexico, to his wife and children.

We are reaching out for help during this difficult loss and time in this family's life. They are asking for prayers most importantly for the family to heal from this loss, and for Humberto's body to reach his wife and children in Oaxaca, Mexico.

We are humbly asking for support during this critical time. Your generous donations will help cover medical costs, funeral/memorial expenses, and the transport of his body from Minnesota to Mexico.
