A dear friend of mine and many of you, Stephanie, needs help. Stephanie is in dire straights right now, and is struggling due to being laid off from her government job of 20 years following government cutbacks. As a very active member of the community, her efforts have helped many people. As it appears now, she will likely lose her home of many years soon, and she's not sure where her two children, Matthew and Sarah's Christmas will come from this year.
While Stephanie has nearly exhausted years of savings and most of her retirement fund, there is a little more she will be able to get after the first of the year to help her then. However, she needs help before then, and she's exhausted all other avenues for assistance.
Stephanie is not one to ask for help, but if anyone needs it, it's her. If you are in a position to help, even a tiny amount, please consider doing so. Stephanie is one of the sweetest and most selfless people I know, and I wish I could make all her problems go away. Maybe, combined, we can at least help her kids have a good Christmas and help them keep their home for a little while longer.
Stephanie has shared with me that she needs $2,200 to get current with the mortgage and all her bills. Rounding up to $2,500 would help with Christmas shopping, and ensure they have food and basic necessities covered until she is able to withdraw the last part of her retirement fund after January 1st.
