I first want to start by saying "THANK YOU" to animal lovers worldwide.
Whether you are actively sharing and posting on social media, donating,
volunteering, or you just love animals altogether, please know that you are
awesome and we could not do this without you!
My name is Mary Davidson and I have been an avid animal rescuer for many
years. My family and I work closely with multiple animal rescues and
organizations throughout Eastern Kentucky. For the next several months,
we will be focusing on a seriously concerning issue that many outdoor animals
are faced with, "wintertime".
With your donations, we will be able to significantly improve the living
conditions of so many outdoor pets. Our main objective is to ensure
that outdoor pets in our area have proper bedding and straw inside their homes. We also hope to raise enough funds so that we can help with basic needs such as
food and shelter. Every donation gets us one-step closer to saving a life!
Whether it be $5, $3, or even a $1, "every single donation goes a long way"!
"Animals deserve so much, yet they ask for so little." - A local dog that we were
able to help last winter with straw and other basic necessities.
With everything that is going on in the world, we need to remember the millions
of animals that will soon be facing horrible weather conditions. We understand
that times are tough and many have lost their only sources of income. So many
families are suffering right now and properly caring for their pets may not be an
option. This is why we decided to take on the ever-important task
of helping as many outdoor animals and families as possible.
The Tri-state area of Eastern Kentucky is made up of beautiful rural communities, farms, and towns. When we decided to take on this project, we quickly realized
how significant the need in our area actually is. Just last week, we began making
note of any outdoor animals currently without proper shelter and bedding. Sadly, as our list of animals in need got longer, it became apparent that we had to do
something asap! So we created the "Freezing Furbabies of Eastern Kentucky".
Dogs can begin to feel uncomfortable when temps drop below 45 degrees.
Unfortunately, we are now in the first stages of winter and there are many dogs
already suffering from it. Our project will focus on dogs that need straw, food, and possibly housing. During the winter, "straw" is one of the most vital factors for an outdoor animals' survival. It stays dry and provides necessary warmth in the most desperate of temperatures. Outdoor pets also need extra food during the winter, as they require extra calories to help their bodies stay warm. Shelter....well shelter is something that every animal should have, no matter the season. Unfortunately, the number of outdoor animals currently living without adequate housing is
Please know that we are forever grateful for every single donation that we
receive. Animals mean so much to us and we could not sleep knowing
that there are so many within our reach, suffering from the bitter cold and
We absolutely cannot do this without your help! We must all work together to
save those that cannot save themselves!
Thank you so much & God Bless,
Mary Davidson & Family
