<div>T is a legal resident who has called Brooklyn, NY home for years. On July 3, as he was leaving his apartment for the afternoon, he was suddenly detained by ICE on the front steps. Without warning, he was taken to a detention center in Louisiana, far from his community and loved ones. He now faces an uncertain future, separated from everything familiar and without access to his essential medications or basic needs.

<div>He is not only a resident—he is a writer, filmmaker, and activist who has dedicated his life to fighting for freedom and justice for marginalized groups. As an art teacher, he is cherished by his students and their families, inspiring creativity and hope in those around him. His absence is felt deeply by all who know him, and the circumstances of his detention have left his community in shock and distress.

<div>We are raising funds to help secure his release through bond, cover legal fees to fight the unlawful proceedings, help him afford necessities while detained, support travel expenses since he was taken so far away, and cover general maintenance in his absence like storage and upkeep for his belongings. Your support will make a direct impact, giving him a chance to return home and continue his important work. Please join us in standing with him during this urgent time—every contribution brings him closer to freedom and reunites him with the community that loves him.
