My name is Monica Rocha Gutierrez. I have created this Go Fund me for my beautiful and dear friends, Freddie and Inez Vasquez. I have Inez’s permission to do this and will be keeping her up to date on everything to do with this fundraiser. All contributions will go directly to their bank account.
Freddie contracted COVID-19, developed pneumonia and has suffered multiple strokes since February 14, 2021 and had to be hospitalized. Freddie is now in ICU and has been since 2/18/2021. Freddie’s illness and critical condition bring immense sadness and anxiety to all who are blessed to know and care about him.
As family and friends, we want to ensure that Freddie is receiving the best medical attention available. Because Freddie has been hospitalized this long, it has had an effect and caused worry on Freddie and Inez’s immediate income and financial responsibilities especially as medical bills have started to come in. Freddie has a long recovery ahead of him which Inez will be by Freddie’s side. To lift the financial burden from them during this time, I humbly ask all of you who can contribute financially to please help Freddie and Inez during this very difficult period in their lives. Who is Freddie Vasquez, where do I even begin? Freddie is foremost a beloved husband and best friend, of 22 years, to Inez Vasquez, a very dear friend of mine whom I love so much. It is through Inez that I met and have come to love Freddie as a beautiful friend. Freddie is a beloved and THE BEST father to four amazing and beautiful children. There is not anything he would not do for them. Freddie is a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to MANY! When you know and meet Freddie, you feel love. Freddie cares, gives, and loves from his heart to all. What you come away with when you hear Freddie’s name is a smile and warmth because there is so much life, character and personality behind Freddie’s name. Freddie loves to make people, friends, family and those he does not even know, feel welcome, comfortable and cared for. Freddie is a storyteller and boy can he do that well! People are at the edge of their seat listening to him because he puts so much emotion in his dialogue. Freddie loves to make people laugh through his antics and wit. You just have a great time when you are around him and know that he is a friend for life! And I am not done yet.
Freddie has a work ethic that is to be admired and respected. Freddie ALWAYS goes above and beyond, not only in everything he does, but to include his work and his job. He has been recognized many times by his agency for his hard and tireless work. Freddie recently received 2 Valor Awards for saving 2 lives with no regard for his own life. He is a Hero to those lives he saved and to all who know him. He and his K9, Meni, are a duo, a team that work hard as one. Freddie and Meni have been awarded Top Dog, numerous times. Their stats have been duly recognized. Freddie is known for aiding and assisting any LEO, first responder and citizen on and off duty. Freddie is a mentor and at times has been a life coach to the younger men through work and in his personal life.
To know Freddie is to love him because love is what you are to him when you come across him and even more, when you know him! May God continue looking over him and embrace him through this road he is on so that he may feel God’s strength for him and be comforted while he is healing.
