Fred Porter is a newly disabled neighbor who is facing a sudden and life-changing situation. After having a seizure at work, Fred learned that Fred can no longer work. Since then, life has changed in ways no one could have expected, and Fred is now on dialysis. On top of these serious health challenges, Fred is facing this chapter without immediate family by his side, as Fred’s mother, father, and sibling have all passed away. Fred is also caring for two young children, which makes this already overwhelming situation even heavier. What happened so quickly has left Fred trying to adjust to a new reality while also carrying the weight of doing it largely alone.

This fundraiser is to help Fred with the urgent costs that come with this transition. The funds will go toward repairs that need to be done to Fred’s home to make it safe and livable, as well as legal fees connected to this difficult time. These are necessary expenses, and they become even more overwhelming when someone is no longer able to work and still has children depending on them. Please help by donating if you can and by sharing Fred’s fundraiser with others. Every bit of support can make a real difference for Fred Porter and help bring some stability, safety, and relief during an incredibly hard chapter.
