<div>Hi. My name is Sam Crook (Instagram: @samcrookbjj) and I am a BJJ black belt. I have been living in Cameroon for the past 3.5 years teaching jiu-jitsu as a volunteer at the Francis Ngannou Foundation.

<div>For the last few years we have been trying to organise for the kids to travel and compete - now for the first time I have brought one of my students back with me to the UK; Franck is a 17-year-old blue belt who grew up with no parents - he has trained with me every single day since he turned 14 and has lived with me for the past few years.
</div>

<div>I spent my last money to arrange his passport and visa to come to the UK (Scramble kindly helped us with his flights) as I know how much this trip will inspire him and encourage him to do his best in life. He is not great in school but he is an amazing kid who really loves jiu-jitsu, and I will do whatever I can to help him become one of the best in the world.

<div>Me and Franck are in the UK until the 8th Feb, and as I am a full-time volunteer we will need to do a few fundraising seminars to help pay for his stay here in the UK (food, transport, competitions, etc.). We also need help with legal fees as I am currently trying to adopt him, which will be very expensive - I do not want to stay in Cameroon my whole life and am not willing to leave him behind.
