Help For Zahra And Her Family

As many of you may already know, our dear friend Zahra has been fighting a severe illness over the past year. After a few symptoms sent Zahra to the emergency room early last year, doctors ended up diagnosing her with a rare and serious disorder known as Systemic Sclerosis (or Schleroderma).  Systemic Sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks the body. Basically, healthy tissue is destroyed because the immune system mistakenly thinks it’s a foreign substance or infection. This not only affects the skin on the body, however also affects the blood vessels, muscles, heart, digestive system, lungs, and kidneys. Currently, this disorder is progressive and there is no cure, but we are all doing our best to stay strong for Zahra and her family.  We want Zahra to know that she is not alone in this fight and we will do everything we can to support her.


Zahra is originally from Iran and has resided in Denver, Colorado since 1999.  She is happily married to her husband Abraham and has two beautiful daughters Romina (14) and Diana (17).  Zahra has spent the past 11 years as an early childhood educator at The Village Child Development Center and has dedicated her time to the well being of others.  Not only has she touched so many young lives, but she has also built extremely strong bonds with families, colleagues, and many others in her community. To everyone that knows Zahra, she would be described as the most loving and caring individual around.  She is constantly putting others first and never hesitates to offer a caring and empathetic hand. We are so fortunate to have her in our lives!


We want to be able to give something back to Zahra and her family.  We know that she would go above and beyond for the people she cares about and it’s important that we do the same for her. As I’m sure you all can imagine, with any illness there comes medical bills.  In the case of our amazing friend, her family has been working hard to cover medical expenses such as doctors visits, treatments, and more. Unfortunately, many of these medical expenses do not come cheap.  With that being said, we would like to be able to help support her family during this time. That is why we have decided to reach out for help and started this Go Fund Me page. Donations will go towards helping her family to pay for extra expenses at this time and towards the future educational goals she has for her two daughters.
