Help Union City Officer shot in line of duty

Donation protected

We never thought we’d ever have to create a page like this. Our lives have changed tremendously...Last Monday, April, 1st, my husband was shot multiple times in the line of duty responding to what seemed to be a routine call for service.

It was like a gun fight to protect the streets of our community. Every time I think about it, it’s difficult to imagine him fighting for me, his children, his family, his community and you while fighting for his life.

He has underwent several surgeries thus far and still awaiting prognosis. This has not been an easy road.

Officer Turner and all of our men and women in blue serve us & defend our streets daily to protect us from mayhem, mischief, and so much more. Sometimes we never stop to think, “My son, my daughter, my brother, my husband could be on the other side of that bullet one day.” Now, what could've only been a thought is now my reality...

The impact this has had on him and the entire family has been beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.

My husband has always wanted to be a Police Officer and no matter what he saw in the news or what happened in life, he was determined to follow his dream.  As a HBCU Grad of Florida A&M and former Chief of Police, he has always been a great example of community leadership, selflessness, and honor. To protect and serve.

Being a great husband and wonderful father of 3, he was the sole provider for our family.

I’m calling on every wife, family member, or friend of a Police Officer, every brother and sister of Blue, every community member, and every individual that want our streets protected by those that really care and have a passion to serve YOU. We need your help.

We’re asking for your prayers, support, and financial contributions for medical expenses, day to day living for his children, and assistance to cover what has been lost.

UPDATE:
This has been a very trying time, but the amount of support from the community, family, complete strangers, and friends  serve as a testament to the kindness and generosity that still exists in this world.

THANK YOU sincerely for your support and please continue to pray for the entire Turner Family as we try to come to grips with such a tragic experience.

Please continue to pray.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
