Help for Tracy

The day after Christmas last year, our mom had a hemmoragic stroke. It was life threatening, and without the amazingly quick reaction from Claire, our mom would have died in the few minutes following the stroke. Because her stroke was so severe, she spent a month in the hospital before being transfered to a full-time care facility in Springfield, MO, where she can see her sister and mom on a daily basis.
The care facility has already helped her above and beyond what was expected in the relm of possibility for her recovery. With the help of nurses and therapists, she has started talking again, has full mobility on her non-affected side, and is gaining small movements on her paralyzed side. We are hoping that through continued care, she is able to gain enough functionality to one day walk again.
That being said, the healthcare costs associated with an event like this are astronomical. She has depleted all expendable days on her healthcare plan that can be applied to in-patient treatment. While we would like to see her move in with her mother and have the care of an at home nurse in the future, that simply isn't an option at this time. We personally only have funding in our family to see her through the end of September.
We are requesting $30,000. While this amount is high, it would cover just under 4 months of care for Tracy. Her facility room and board runs about $6k/month, with another $2k/month going towards medicines, insurance payments, and therapy payments. There are always new bills popping up. Without your help, we cannot afford to keep her in her care facility through the end of the year like she needs. Even if all you can give is a couple dollars, it all adds up and it means the world to us. Sharing our story would only help us further.
