Help for the Zerbato Family

We’ve lost a dear friend, a beloved coach, and a devoted husband and father. For decades Dave Zerbato worked tirelessly to improve our community through his leadership in youth sports. On every basketball court and ball field in town, Coach "Zip" was a constant presence, phone to his ear, game book tucked under his arm, setting schedules, stocking concessions, and most of all, shaping groups of boys into smooth functioning teams and better human beings. He taught them that respect is required equipment, and that all of the ground between the white lines is sacred.  His love of baseball allowed the rest of us to believe for a time that there is no clock, no certain time when we will be called upon to leave the field. Far too soon, illness has taken him away from his community and his beloved family.

 

Now it's time for all of us to get off the bench and team up to help his wife Sherry and his sons Zack and Camden.  Please donate generously to support their immediate financial needs. Spread the word. Let's do this for Zip.
