Help for the Horn Family

As many of you already know, in early November,
after a routine procedure, Josh Horn was
diagnosed with colon cancer.  Facing a major bowel
resection surgery and an uncertain treatment
plan, the Horns did what they always do— banded together, leaned on the Lord and faced their
struggle with bravery and dignity.  With no health
insurance and being self-employed as the sole
provider for their family, the Horns knew the
financial needs would be great, but charged ahead to get Josh as healthy as possible no matter what.  
They showed us all what strength looks like and
what true faith in God means. 

Josh spent over two weeks in the hospital
following surgery.  He was denied food and water
as his system was allowed time to heal itself.
Recovery was painful, scary and dangerous.  
The cancer has been identified as Stage 2a which was an answer to prayer as the cancer has not
spread to nodes.  A treatment plan will be made
soon with a local oncologist, but for now the goal is
to let Josh recover at home with his family for
Christmas. 

To know the Horn family is to love them. To know
Josh is to know a loyal friend, devoted husband,
dedicated father and a talented small business
owner. The Horns would do anything to help a
friend or family member. Josh is truly the kind of
man who would give you the “shirt off his back”
and never ask for anything in return.   They would never ask for help or assistance, but friends, they
need it now. Medical bills are adding up. Weeks of surgery, testing, lab work and care has not come
cheap.  Hardest of all is the fact that Christmas is
here.  Help us ease their burden a little.  Help us
show love to Josh and to Lacey and the kids.
