Help for the De Lauras

Sometimes, bad things happen to good people.  This statement embodies the recent, overwhelming events in the De Laura family.

During treatments for an aggressive form of blood cancer, Jeff De Laura and his family were left nearly homeless during the 14” rainstorm in Middleton, WI on August 20th, 2018.

Four feet of standing water destroyed the basement of the De Laura home, which housed the bedrooms of Alex (20; attending UW-Lacrosse) and Ellie (15), as well as the main family room.  A complete rebuild of the basement will be required, as well as replacement of nearly half of the family’s belongings.  Over $75,000 in damages is a conservative estimate of what has been lost.

The De Lauras are kind, generous and humble; anyone who knows them can attest to that.  Let’s help support them in this time of great need as they have always so open-heartedly and graciously supported their friends, family and community.

With school fast approaching and nearly all the childrens' belongings destroyed, any contribution would be appreciated by the family.  A goal of $5,000 has been set, but the costs of repair go well above that number.  Please, donate anything you can to support this wonderful family.
