Help for Parvo Puppy

Donation protected
St. Elmo Animal Rescue pulled Ramone, a sweet basset hound puppy, off of death row at a local animal shelter. Although he already had his first round of shots, he had contracted parvovirus, which has a 14-day incubation period, before he recieved his vaccine. On Thursday, May 25th, Ramone became lethargic and began vomiting. The amazing vets at Veterinary Care and Specialty Group in St. Elmo admitted him into their emergency hospital at about 10:30 that night. On top of the parvo, which can be enough to kill a puppy in itself, Ramone also had the flu, which caused his temperature to spike. As of yesterday, Ramone is finally starting to feel a little better and should be released within the next couple days. We are beyond thrilled that this little fighter pulled through, but our not-for-profit rescue simply cannot afford the vet bill for a week in the hospital. This will be our third very high vet bill this year, and we rely on our generous donors to help us help the ones that no one else would. If you are able to donate towards Ramone's vet care, we would appreciate it more than you know!
