Help for Nima 2019 - 2023

Nima, a nine year old boy from Nepal has Down Syndrome with complications. He can't talk, walk properly, he has memory issues and is suffering from frequent kidney infections.
Nepal doesn't have free health service, no health insurance and no public schools for children with disabilities, only private.
Currently Nima is put in the private school for children with special needs. School, transportation and basic needs cost about $150 a month,
I'm hoping to raise with your help $2000 a year for the next 5 years to cover expenses of his education and medical care. Even a small contribution matters to improve the life of Nima and his family.

The longer version :
As many of you know in the years of 2018 and 2019, I traveled to Nepal to study Buddhism in the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas.
The leader of our group, Venerable Robina Courtin, local guides from Three Jewels Adventures trekking company and, everyone who joined in on this unique journey were amazing.
While in Nepal, I had the opportunity to learn about this country and its people.
Nepal is among the poorest and least developed countries in the world, with one-third of its population living below the poverty line.
The average salary is about $350 per month.
Seeing how people live there was quite shocking and humbling because regardless of every day struggles, Nepali's are the most sweet, kind, peaceful, generous and genuinely happy people.
When going up the mountains, I made great friendships and each day learned more about the people I was with.
That's how I got to know Lok, one of our guides, and his story:
Lok(28) has a four year old daughter and a nine year old son. He is the only provider for the family.
His job is seasonal, trekking season lasts from 4 to 6 months and for the rest of the year there is no income. It's a real struggle to support his family.
His son Nima, has severe Down Syndrome with complications. He can't talk, walk normally , has memory issues and suffers from frequent kidney infections.
Nepal doesn't have free health care or health insurance and there are no public schools for children with disabilities, only private.
Currently Nima attends a school for children with special needs.
School, transportation and basic needs costs about $150 a month.
