Help For Nick and Megan de Lorme

Nick and Megan de Lorme are newlyweds, but not in the traditional sense. They had to get married in the hospital after missing their June 4th wedding which they were so anticipating. Nick had a mass that ruptured near his kidney. After blood transfusions, Nick wasn’t making any progress, so he and Megan were transferred from a North Carolina hospital to the Cleveland Clinic. Nick then had his kidney removed and was hoping to put this terrible ordeal behind him. His pulmonologist wanted to check his lungs because a CT scan showed nodules and fluid on his lungs. Nick and Megan received heart wrenching news. Nick has an incredibly rare form of cancer that is a stage 4 metastatic sarcoma. It is so rare that it only affects about .2% of the world population, and the Cleveland Clinic has only seen 4 cases of it. Unfortunately, the prognosis is about a year with treatment.

 

Nick starts IV chemotherapy and will likely be staying in the Cleveland area for treatment. Megan says her hubby is going to fight like hell!!!
