Help for my daughter-Ayudame a ayudar a mi hija

Hello! I’m a single mom with three beautiful kids and I’m a 2x cancer survivor. Thankfully I’m in remission, but now that I’ve been declared healthy my daughter Basima fell ill and started to urinate blood. We went to the doctor and they found a carcinoma in her bladder, the same cancer that killed my father. I’m so scared that I won’t be able to help her cover the costs for treatment in Guatemala because all of my savings were depleted by my own treatments. She works in customer service for a US bank which doesn’t give her health benefits, and is the single mom of a sweet nine year old boy. I beg you to help me help my daughter obtain the care she needs to get through this so that she can watch her boy grow up.

In Guatemala just $10 can go a long way. She will need her initial bladder surgery and then 15 days afterwards she’ll need to start chemo for once a week for three months, then once every two weeks, then once a month for a total of a year, then checkups every 6 months. The initial surgery here will cost around $2000 if all goes well. That is just the cost of the doctors and the facility, but everything she will need, down to linens, blood and IVs is extra. If she needs pain meds or, God forbid, if there’s a complication, it will cost even more.

She has to have surgery two weeks before Christmas and then start the chemo soon after that. Each chemo session will cost around $180 and will need to be prepaid prior to the first treatment, which we think will be just after Christmas or the New Year. We need to prepay 24 treatments for a total of $4,320. 

We are selling our car and diverting living expenses to help. Anything you can donate will be very much appreciated. If there’s a way to directly donate the medicine itself or the chemo treatments instead of money,  that would help tremendously. If there’s a bladder cancer specialist who could accompany her treatment and allow us to call on them for advice, that would be a blessing.

Soy madre soltera de tres hijos y paciente de cancer. Ya no lo tengo pero ahora que estoy sana, mi hija enfermó y empezó a orinar sangre. Fuimos a hacerle los chequeos médicos necesarios y le detectaron un carcinoma en la vejiga, y es el mismo tipo de cancer por lo que murio mi padre y tengo mucho miedo ya que no cuento con los medios para regalarle el tratamiento a mi hija, la cual tiene un niño de 9 años. Te suplico me ayudes a ayudar a mi hija para que tenga un buen tratamiento y pueda ver a crecer a su hijo ya que ella también es madre soltera. 

En Guatemala $10 pueden ayudar más de lo que te imaginas. Ella va a necesitar hacer la cirugía de la vejiga inicial y después de esto ella va a empezar el tratamiento 15 días  después de la operación por un año de duración. La cirugía inicial va a costar $2000 si todo va bien, y eso es solo por los medicos y la sala de operación. Todo lo demás es extra y no tenemos seguro.

Ella va a necesitar la cirugía en las semanas antes de la Navidad, y va a empezar el tratamiento después de la Navidad o del Año Nuevo.  Los 24 tratamientos tienen que ser pagados con anticipación, por un total de $4320. Nosotros estamos vendiendo el carro y poniendo el dinero que tenemos para los gastos de la casa y la comida para tratar de poder juntar el dinero suficiente para el tratamiento. También será bendecida la donación directa de los tratamientos de quimioterapia o de los medicamentos de la cirugía, así como la donación del tiempo de una especialista en cancer de la vejiga que nos pueda acompañar para darnos cualquier consejo.
