I am planning to run Istanbul Marathon on November 11th. As some of you might already know, I had helped the MS Society Boston Chapter for over 10 years with a goal of raising funds to help researchers with the hopes of solving this problem. I did not know anyone with MS disease when I first started. A lot has been achieved in the field. And a lot more can be achieved with our support to bring an end to this disease.
11 Kasim'da Istanbul Maratonu'nu kosmayi planliyorum. Bazilarinizin haberi oldugu gibi, 10 yildan fazla sure MS (Multipl Skleroz) Derneginin Boston Subesi icin bagis toplama etkinliklerine katildim gonullu olarak. Amacim arastirmacilara bu hastaliga cozum bulunmasinda yardimci olmakti. Ilk basladigimda MS hastasi tanimiyordum. Bu alanda son yillarda onemli gelismeler kayit edildi. Bu calismalari desteklersek, daha cok basarilarin olacagi ve bu hastaligin yok edilecegi kacinilmaz.
I was invited to run the Istanbul Marathon on behalf of MS Society in Turkey to help awareness of MS. I raised the bar a bit and decided to raise some financial support for their chapter in Turkey and hence created this page.
Istanbul Maratonunu kosmak icin Multipl Skleroz Turkiye Dernegi tarafindan davet edildim. Amac hastaligin varligini bildirmek. Ben hedefi biraz daha yukseltip, dernege finansal olarak yardim icin bagis toplamaya da karar verdim ve bu sayfayi baslattim.
The society is non-profit and provides services to people who suffer from MS. Most important goal of the society is to bring people together so that they don't feel alone in this fight.
Bu dernek kar amacli olmayip, MS hastasi insanlara yardim servisleri yaratmakta. En onemli hedefleri ise bu hastaliga maruz kalan insanlari bir araya getirip, yalniz olmadiklarini hissettirmek.
Just like any other charity, they heavily rely on financial donations.
I'll be happy to see your support for this cause. Once again, I don't make any distinction among different charities regardless of their location/cause. As long as it is non-profit and as long as the benefits are passed on to those who needs them, count me in.
Diger kar amacli olmayan dernekler gibi, en onemli maddi kaynaklari yapilan bagislar. Bu konuda yapacaginiz bagislari gormekten memnun olurum. Sahsi gorusum kar amacli olmayan dernekler arasinda ayrim yapmamaktir. Bulunduklari yer ve ilgilendileri alan da desteklerimi etkilemez. Kar yapmadigi surece ve olanaklar gercekten ihtiyaci olanlara verildigi surece, yardimlarimi esirgemem.
I'll pass along all the donations I collect around November 10-11th when I'm scheduled to be in Istanbul and will keep you all posted about the process.

On another note, if all goes well, Istanbul Marathon will be my 137th marathon. Chicago (October 7th) and NewYork (November 4th) are next before then. Happy to be running.
Son olarak, hersey planlandigi gibi olursa, Istanbul Maratonu benim 137. maratonum olacak. Ekim 7'de Sikago, 4 Kasim'da ise NewYork maratonunu kosmayi programima dahil ettim. Kosmaktan mutluyum.
