Darian's Fight!

Hi, my name is Dana and I am asking for help for my sister Darian, who is a 23 year old mother of a 10 month old, and was just diagnosed with a glial neoplasm brain tumor located at the stem of her brain and in her spinal column. We were told that this tumor was so large and the position of it makes it inoperable. The doctor told us that if anyone attempted to remove it, it would result in 100% paralysis from the neck down and she would become a quadraplegic. We are unsure if the tumor is benign or malignant and were told that the biopsy alone has a 50% chance of paralysis. My sister is already experiencing mild paralysis in both arms and one leg from the tumor alone. After hearing this news, we spoke to someone who helped us meet with a well known neuro surgeon who has a lot of experience with tumors that are rare like hers. The second doctor is trying to get another MRI to see how fast it is spreading and wants to see if he can try and remove some, part, or all of the tumor. However, if the tumor is malignant her only option is to go through radiation and chemotherapy to hopefully shrink it. Unfortunately the clinic that this doctor works at does not accept Darian's insurance. Darian and her son have been staying with me to go to all of her doctor appointments and is unable to return to work and is facing a very long road ahead of her. We are doing everything we can as a family to help her, but unfortunantelt the bills are already adding up. She is already struggling to hold her baby and fears she will be unable to hold him in her arms as this progresses. I am hoping that we can pull together and at least help her with the financial burden so she can focus on her family and push through this difficult time.
