Help for Miss Abby and her family

Miss Abby, 11 years old, is currently recovering from brain surgery after an MRI discovered a tumour on 30th December 2020. She was rushed in for surgery on 31st December 2020, and at the time of this post is still currently in PICU waiting for a pain management plan that works to enable her to be moved to a ward.

Her parents are currently awaiting the results of the biopsy on the tumour to determine the rest of Abby’s treatment plan. At this stage, however, the doctors have requested that a second MRI is conducted in 2 weeks to determine whether the tumour removal has been successful and whether further surgery is required. The reason for the 2 week wait is to allow for the swelling from the first surgery to go down.

 The reason for setting up this page is to help raise funds to support the family during this tough time. Miss Abby is the youngest of 6 children in a separated family who resides majority of the time with her mother Cherrie who is the money earner and is a casual and as a result can’t afford to take the time off work that is needed during this time. So please get behind this family to help keep food on the table and a roof over their heads as well as to help cover any medical costs they may occur during Miss Abby’s recovery.
