Help for Matt & Jude

On July 26th Matt and Jude Larrimore were ready to start a new chapter in their life but it did not go as planned. It was the first day of their move from Norfolk, Virginia to Fort Collins, Colorado. The moving company they had researched and hired took several hours to load almost all of their worldly possessions. Matt and Jude would be driving themselves, their 9 and 18-year-old fur-babies Emma and Missy, along with a few of their possessions, across the country. They expected their shipment of belongings to arrive just after they did on August 6th but it never did. When the moving company wouldn’t return their calls or answer the phone at all, they knew something was wrong. It was then Jude discovered that their movers had been shut down by the FBI for suspicion of fraud.
Matt and Jude have no idea where their belongings are or if they’ll ever see them again. This includes Matt’s Grandmother’s Dining Room set and china cabinet, the artwork they collected over their 26 years of marriage, and the candy jar Jude’s father gave her before passing, along with all the things that make the place they live a home. While they hold out hope their belongings might one day be returned to them, life must go on. They both need clothes now; Jude for her office job and Matt to go on interviews. Not to mention that the empty rental condo reminds them of how they’ve been violated by people they had put their trust in. While Jude’s company and friends have been amazing and everyone who knows is trying to be super-supportive, making things right for Matt and Jude is just too big of a task for such a small circle of people. Some new furniture, clothes, small appliances; the amount financial assistance needed adds up quickly. The Larrimores have much of their own funds tied up with the company who presumably have swindled them.
