Relief for Mario and his Family

Here’s a little on Mario:

Anyone who knows or has met Mario, knows that he is a wonderful and loving husband, father, and friend. Throughout his life Mario has been a hard and honest working man determined to provide for his wife and three daughters, a one-year old, a two-year old, and a nine-year old. In spite of being such a great guy, Mario’s life, and that of his family’s, has taken a huge turn.

6 months ago Mario’s life changed dramatically. He was taken to the hospital for what was thought to be a stroke, but there the doctors discovered that he has a severe brain infection that has no cure. The most they are able to do for him is maintain him stable and prevent the infection from spreading. Despite these efforts, the infection has left Mario completely immobile from his legs, caused him to lose his ability to speak, and he now has to be fed through a tube connected to his stomach, amongst many other things.

Mario requires a lot of attention and due to this, his wife is not able to work, and has to spend her time taking care of him and of their three daughters. As their main source of income, Mario, is not at disposition to work. This is why we have taken the initiative and are determined to bring as many people together to raise enough funds to help keep this family going, to assist them with their living expenses and ultimately with Mario’s medical costs.

Sobre Mario:

Quien conoce a Mario, sabe que es muy buen esposo, papa y amigo. Durante su vida Mario ha sido un gran y honesto trabajador siempre determinado a proveer para su esposa y tres hijas. Niñas de 1 ano, 2 años y 9 años. Pero la vida de Mario y su familia ha tomado una desafortunada vuelta.

6 meses atrás la vida de Mario cambio dramáticamente. Lo llevaron al hospital porque pensaban que le ocurría un derrame cerebral, pero los doctores descubrieron que sufría de una infección cerebral que no tiene cura. Ahora lo único que pueden hacer es mantenerlo estable y prevenir que la infección se esparce. La infección lo ha dejado completamente inmoble desde sus piernas, ha perdido su habilidad de hablar y ahora lo alimentan con un tubo.

Debido a esto Mario requiere mucha atención. Su esposa no puede trabajar porque ella está al cuidado de él y sus 3 hijas. Mario era el proveedor principal del hogar, pero ahora no fluyen nada de ingresos. Por eso estamos determinados a juntar dinero para ayudar a su familia con los costos de vivienda y últimamente ayudar a pagar los costos médicos de Mario.
