Help for Major's Diner

For 60 years (in November), Major's Diner has been serving the community of San Diego County and beyond. Before Covid-19 entered our world, persons from every corner of the globe would make their way down Interstate 8 and stop at Major's to feel the 50's vibe that it generates. Last year was tough for all of us, but the restaurant industry took a big hit, and Major's didn't get through the previous 19 months unscathed.

In the past and now, if you wanted to know what was happening around town, you'd stop by the diner and ask. Someone would know. Need a fix for hunger? Major's had a cure. Just want to be around other humans for a change? Major's had the crowd. Especially on the weekends. Last year changed all of that.

While other restaurants and businesses received federal and county funding, Major's didn't. The owners and employees of Major's Diner would like to express our deep appreciation for your patronage through this last year and a half. Even when we could only serve you through plastic bags in to-go styrofoam, you showed up. We will be eternally grateful.

With that said, we need your help now. Just because the government said, close didn't mean that all of the monthly bills stopped. Sure, SDG&E and a few other companies that provide monthly services didn't turn off the power or take away the dishwasher when the invoices weren't paid. However, eight months of not paying said bills add up and very little income during that time takes a toll.

We have a dedicated team of employees that are hardworking and customer service oriented. We're asking that if you've eaten at Major's in the past to please patronize again and, if you see fit to help keep Major's open in the future, to give as much as you can to this Go Fund Me. There is a deadline looming and much is needed to keep the doors open. Thank you for helping! We want to make sure you have a place to have coffee, cinnamon rolls, and chicken fried steak when you want them.
