Help for Katie June

Donation protected
Hello everyone;
My name is Trisha (Streeper) Wyatt. I am a cousin to Katie June's grandma (Rhonda Nelson)

We are raising money for 11 year old Katie June Cooper, who was recently diagnosed with severe Aplastic Anemia, a rare and serious autoimmune disease with major life changing impacts.

Why are donations needed now?

Far away from home: Katie June was flown by emergency medevac from Fort Nelson, BC, Mile 300 of the Alaska Highway, to the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC on January 2, 2021.
Indefinite term: Doctors have informed the family to prepare for a long term stay.
Unknowns: She will not be leaving the care of the head pediatrician at BC Children’s Hospital until she is deemed well enough to do so. A bone marrow transplant may also be required.
Potential relocation: Daily blood tests and transfusions are part of her new normal now and for the foreseeable future.
Loss of Income : Both Lara and Mike aren't working because they caring for Katie in Vancouver.

How will the money be used?

Accommodation: Extended hospitalizations requiring temporary housing and living expenses for three months to a year in Vancouver, BC.
Medical expenses: Visits to any clinics, specialists etc. and medications, equipment, supplies, treatments or medical aids and expenses.
Travel and transportation: Gas, vehicles, flights, taxis, rentals, food, lodging and parking for the family between Fort Nelson and Vancouver and while in Vancouver.
TBD (To be determined): With so much uncertainty, there are many unknowns and major life changes the family faces now and in the future as a result of caring for Katie June and her brothers while maintaining home and caregiving responsibilities in Fort Nelson and in Vancouver, BC.

How can you help?

With a donation: Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated. It will directly help provide care, support and help ease the medical pressures and uncertainty of Katie’s condition so they are not compounded by income uncertainty and the added stress of financial pressures while living in Vancouver.
For those of who would prefer to send donations directly, please call or text Trisha at (780) [phone redacted] and I can give you my email or mailing address.

With prayers and encouragement: We’d love to read or watch your prayers and encouragements for Katie directly on the Facebook Group page, Courage for Katie June.https://www.facebook.com/groups/888792081866900/?ref=share
