Mam na imię Karol, mam 51 lat od 1972 leczyłem się na zapalenie kości jest to nieuleczalna choroba, zazwyczaj kończy się to amputacją a w najgorszym przypadku śmiercią.
jestem po 28 operacjach i po amputacji na poziomie uda, przez 38 lat musiałem robić jeden - dwa razy dziennie opatrunki, bardzo częste krwotoki i leki przeciw bólowe wyniszczyły mój organizm, dlatego amputacja to było jedyne wyjście żebym mógł normalnie żyć. Życie po amputacji zaczyna się na nowo- rehabilitacja a dalej proteza i na nowo nauka chodzenia.
Obecnie utrzymuje się z renty inwalidzkiej która w zasadzie jest tylko na najmniejsze potrzeby.
Moje możliwości finansowe są dosyć ograniczone, ze względu na długotrwałe leczenie ( antybiotyki, materiały opatrunkowe, leki przeciw bólowe) nie pozwalały mi jakoś znacząco zaoszczędzić , bym mógł ze spokojem myśleć o rehabilitacji i zakupie dobrej protezy do samodzielnej egzystencji, dlatego bardzo dziękuje za wszelką pomoc.
My name is Karol, and I am 51 years old. Since 1972, I was treated for bone inflammation, which is an incurable disease, and usually it ends with amputation and in the worst case death. I’ve had 28 surgeries and I’ve had my thigh amputated. For 38 years, I had to do one to two dressings a day as I have very frequent hemorrhages and the copious amounts of pain medication destroyed my body. Amputation was the only solution in order for me to live normally. Life after amputation starts from the beginning; rehabilitation and then prosthesis and learning to walk again.
Presently, my only financial support is from a disability pension, which in principle, is only for the smallest needs. My financial possibilities are quite limited, because of the long-term treatments (antibiotics, dressings, pain medications, etc.), therefore, I was not able to make substantial enough savings in order for me to calmly focus on rehabilitation and the purchase of a good prosthetic for independent existence. This is why I am very grateful for any help.
