Help Karen Giles recovery

Some of you know of Karen's medical
issues and others will know from this reading. Karen is a severe type one diabetic.  She had a bone infection that did not heal so after 3 surgeries in 3 months she had 75% of her left foot amputated. As you can imagine, this has been devastating and overwhelming for Karen.  
 She has a long recovery and healing process. She will have to be fitted with a prosthetic and brace as her healing permits. She will need physical therapy to help her learn to walk. There is no insurance,  but still office visits, prescriptions, and out of pocket expenses. She also has monthly rent, utilities, household, and fuel expenses. Her ability to ever work again is extremely slim. Hopefully she will be eligible for disability benefits however, this could take up to one to two years for approval to receive benefits if then. As we all know, the government doesn't get in a hurry, but yet her expenses continue. She needs her friends now for financial and emotional support. No donation is too small and will be used to help Karen through this time.
