Help for Hurting Hearts
*UPDATE* It is with incredible sadness to inform you all that last night the awful and difficult decision was made by Sharon and Chris to turn David’s life support off, in line with what the Doctors advised and also his own wishes. Please continue to raise funds and share posts, to try and help with funeral costs. xXx I met Chris and Sharon when they came on a Climbing session I was running , and since then have become my dear friends, who are very involved in hill walking and the local outdoor community.
They are simply two of the most genuine, lovely people you will ever come across, so when a short while after knowing them they told me about their Son, David being ill in hospital with heart failure, I was in absolute disbelief.
They had been so happy, positive and supportive to everyone they had come across, when all the time they were dealing with their teenage son being so poorly is really a true testament of the type of selfless people they both are.
David who is 19, is now in Harefield Hospital, London ICU, very poorly and in desperate need of a heart transplant and running our of time to find one. His organs are failing and he is now also on oxygen and dialysis, being sleepy, in pain and frightened.
Chris and Sharon would never dream to ask anyone for money, but are in desperate need of financial help to be able to stay close to him. Unfortunately no charities have been able to help them br />They were previously travelling back and fore from Merthyr Tyfil, Wales to London while also trying to maintain their jobs, but now due to David's condition deteriorating rapidly, need to be able to stay closer to their Son.
Any funds received will go towards paying for them to have a bed for the night close to the Hospital and to get themselves something decent to eat.
I and other friends will also be offering Outdoor Activities and Courses as donations to raise funds for them in their time of need. Details of this will be added shortly.
Please give whatever you can, large or small so they can stop worrying about money, and concentrate on being with their boy.
