Help for Huailing Zhong

My name is Annie Zhong, and I am a nineteen year old college student at Rutgers University. I am the daughter of Huailing Zhong. In April 2020, my dad suddenly suffered from a severe brain injury due to a stroke. The injury caused the entire left side of his body paralyzed and has stunted his physical abilities to work and care for others. Since then, he has had three surgeries and spending time at rehabilitation facilities, fighting for the recovery. It came as a shock to our family and friends, but we are so grateful for all the wonderful healthcare staff and his kind friends in supporting him during this very difficult time.

My dad is a devoted father, hard-working entrepreneur, and caring friend.  He founded a small biotech company U-Pharm in New Jersey, and loved what he did and often overworked himself for the sake of his company and his people, even sleeping at his workspace often. Now, because of his disease, my dad cannot work, losing the ability to do what he loves as well as his only source of income.  He lost his apartment, and started to draw money from his retirement fund to pay for medical and other costs, but the costs continue to mount and the road to recovery is long and uncertain.

Yet, with everything that has happened unfortunately and the excruciating situation he is in, he has stayed thankful and strong. I am so proud of him and the strength he’s shown as he fights his battle, and pray for his quick recovery. Everyone around him knows he is an incredibly kind and generous person, and he would give as much as he could to anyone in need. Now, he is asking for your help so he can focus on his fight.

I have created this Go Fund Me page so I can give my dad a chance at living a happy and normal life again. A simple act of kindness from you and anyone you know would change the course of his future. I know that he would be beyond grateful for any help in relieving his financial constraints as he is working hard to recover from the disease. Thank you all for your support!
