Help for Hidden Lake HS Families
Donation protected
In the wake of the Coronavirus, many of us feel fortunate to have the financial stability to see our families through this crazy period. But a lot of people are in a tough situation, struggling to provide the basic necessities for their families. And that’s why they need our help.
Hidden Lake is an alternative high school in Westminster, CO. Many of the students’ families struggle in the best of times, and their stories are heartbreaking. Some of them only get to eat a decent meal and wash at school, so winter and summer breaks are tough and they can’t wait for school to start.
Since schools are closed, students and their families are struggling. The school district provided 20,000 meals to families, chrome books and internet hot spots, but some families are in greater need than most.
Hidden Lake has identified 3 families with the greatest need of food, hygiene products and cleaning supplies:
- family of 2
- family of 4
- family of 4
The idea is to provide ongoing monetary support in the way of gift cards to department stores, grocery stores and fast food restaurants. Our goal is to raise $500 per week for 10 weeks, so we can provide $100/week for the 2-person family and $200/week for each 4-person family.
Donate one time, or donate on a weekly basis - whatever works best for you.
By pooling our contributions, we can help all 3 families survive the Coronavirus crisis period. If this continues beyond 10 weeks, we can reassess and extend this fundraiser.
Feel free to forward this link to others who might want to participate. Heck, maybe we can help more than just a few families!
Thanks, and stay safe!
