Help for Heartworm Positive Dogs

Donation protected
We need some donations to help the heartworm positive dogs in our program. Two of our positive Setters from last June- Lizzie and Grimm still need extra blood work and Dottie will be having surgery for a tumor on her neck.
We also have 4 new heartworm positive dogs for 2023 including Pointer- Loralyn, Treeing Walker Coonhound- Shailene, Beagle- Sophia, and our newest rescue, Pointer- Dansby, our coverdog. Please click on their names to see their recovery albums and updates from Facebook.
Heartworm slow kill is a kinder treatment plan but with our blood work protocols-- especially to look for underlying tick borne disease, long term care can be costly. Loralyn was recently diagnosed with Rocky Mountain spotted fever and sweet Beagle Sophia is also fighting Lyme disease. We are certain Dansby will also be infected.

It can take 8 months to a year or longer for a dog to be heartworm free and but sometimes we do find Foster to Adopt homes to help these special dogs to recover, but not always. We could sure use your help with a donation to help these dogs get better and find their forever homes.
