Help for Friend, Victim of Brutal Assault

On Saturday April 4, 2020 at 7:23 a.m. our friend, whose name we are unable to release at this time due to a police investigation, was deliberately struck by a car and brutally assaulted, almost to the point of death. Our friend was on his way early that morning to help out at local food donation pantry before starting work.
Our friend suffered severely from the impact of the vehicle and subsequent assault. Thankfully the police and EMS responded quickly. Fortunately, the assailant’s murderous intent was unsuccessful and while no-longer life-threatening, our friend’s injuries are severe and life-changing. Due to the ongoing police investigation, the family is unable to disclose any further information.
Our friend is a person who loves life, loves his God, and his family. He is a man of good character showing humility and compassion to all.
Our friend is a recent immigrant to Canada and is currently waiting and hoping that Immigration will approve his application for his family to come to Canada quickly so they can be here to help him during his extended recovery. With his family living in a different country, but relying on our friend for financial support, it makes his situation even more painful. Our friend will need to be off work for the foreseeable future to recover from this horrendous, brutal attack. Financial support is desperately needed to cover his family’s daily expenses and relocation to Canada, his rent and potential legal fees.
