Help for Freda Adams - Lytton Wildfire evacuee

Hello,

My name is Chloe Ross and I am Freda Adams granddaughter. I am raising funds to help my Nana Freda to get back on her feet after losing everything due to the wild fire that devastated our home town Lytton.

Unfortunately Freda did not have home insurance, and she lost everything but the small amount of clothes she packed for herself. Thankfully she was able to save her three animals Max, Kitty, and Sadie. Sadly her son Jim left with only the clothing on his back. These donations will help her reestablish her life, and purchase many essential things - a new stove, fridge, washer, dryer, bed, the list goes on.

Freda is an Nlaka'pamux knowledge keeper, and has been sharing her knowledge with the children in Lytton for generations (30 years +). She retired in 2010 but continued to teach the Nlaka'pmux language at the Lytton daycare until the day of the wildfire. She is looking forward to continue teaching as soon as possible.

Freda is a strong, and resilient woman who has suffered many traumas throughout her life. She is a residential school survivor, she lost her husband in a tragic work related accident 24 years ago, and she also has a rare genetic disease which as caused her to become blind early in life. Though she has faced many struggles she has a very positive outlook on life, and would give her last dollar to anyone in need - her main concern while evacuating her house was ensuring that her son and three animals made it out safely.
