Help for Fiji Cyclone victims

Donation protected
20 years ago I came to know my friend Asenaca when I traveled to Fiji on a mission trip.  My husband and I have stayed in touch with her through the years being an encouragement to each other. Naca has been trying to get her secondary schooling done slowly while working in the food industry. She also has a prayer ministry and assists people in her village and surrounding villages. During this past year of quarantine, she has had very little income and still continues to care for others. My husband and I have done what we can each month to help keep her afloat.

Two weeks ago Fiji was hit by Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Yasa. Only because of our connection with Naca would I have ever known about this situation.  The northern part of Vanua Levu where she lives was hit the hardest. Since the pandemic most people have lost their jobs and have gone back to farming in order to exist. Now the cyclone has destroyed their farms, and they are having to replant just when it was harvest season.

The money exchange is $.49 FJD to $1.00 USD. So you see that ANYTHING that you donate will go twice as far to help our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world. Terry and I have been wiring money monthly since March via Western Union and Naca can continue to get to Western Union to get what new funds we send her. Unlike the devastation that hit Puerto Rico years ago where there was no way to purchase goods, the southern part of the island still has facilities to purchases needed items.

Schools have been wiped out in the north of Vanua Levu. The devastation means all school supplies are also gone. So there is much need for any assistance we can give. We can trust Naca with our money as she has already been doing monthly on a small scale of what needs to be done now on a much larger scale. God has prepared her for just a time as this as he did Esther those thousands of years ago. Please do what you can to help. Any little bit will help and is doubled when it arrives in Fiji. Many of us have seen blessings even through this past pandemic year. Will you help me pass those on to those in Fiji who are so desperate. We are ready right now to wire money to them as shipping is cost prohibitive when they can purchase what they need. Donate as soon as you can as food and supplies need to be bought now.
