Dreams have been postponed indefinitely!

Have you ever experienced the feeling of losing everything you had from your childhood until this moment suddenly and in the blink of an eye?

Well, have you tried craving a simple type of food?! Do you crave sugar, for example?

Have you searched in all cities for necessary and unnecessary medicine and did not find it?!

Have you tried living without a job? To lose your job and workplace and be left without income or money for daily expenses?!

Have you lost your family and lost contact with them, and days and months pass by without knowing anything about them?! Have you tried losing them for life?!

Have you experienced being deprived of your future?

All the material, moral, emotional and psychological things?!

This is our situation, even worse!!!!

I am Nada, a twenty-three-year-old wife and mother, educated and graduate from the Gaza Strip, specifically from the city of Khan Yunis. Until this moment in which I write my words, I am still alive... and my family and I have survived 4 previous wars and more. 16 military attacks, but this war is different.

6 whole months... with its days and nights of relentless war. A tyrannical, selfish, illogical war... Not a single night passed without the ominous symphony of war being played.

Since the beginning of this conflict, we have been stripped of all our possessions, and we left our home in the evening terrified without taking anything with us, not even extra clothes or anything necessary, after the area was threatened with aerial bombardment. We were displaced and displaced 7 separate times to areas that we thought there were safe . Dangerous due to the continuous tide of aggression on all regions..

We left our house hoping to return to it and bring possessions and papers, but that did not happen.. Unfortunately, the war did not only steal our livelihoods, it stole and completely destroyed my house (I was able to take some pictures It was completely destroyed...and I realized that any hope of returning to it had disappeared!

Dreams of a better future have been stolen. We have lost the warm home that I and my small family lived in and that held our memories together, our things from childhood, the bedrooms, the dining table and covers, clothes, electrical appliances, screens, my child’s street stroller, my child’s toys. His clothes, his covers, his bed, my childhood and school memories, all the beautiful furniture in the house in which we wove our dreams and ambitions in light of the difficult economic conditions in the Strip, were gone in one moment !!

After that, I lived in a semi-tent made of a piece of nylon leather covering the roof, tree branches supporting it, and a light cover covering the door and keeping out the cold! In cold and rainy weather, unavailable electricity, very scarce water, and a toilet that does not resemble any toilet in life at all! Hunger, displacement, diseases, pollution, fear and no money!

Yes, we do not have money except what we were able to obtain from some people, as my husband, who is dedicated to his freelance work on the Internet as a professional graphic designer, is unable to work now due to the circumstances and the lack of availability of the Internet as required..!!

Here are the details of the life we live:

First of all, I inform you that I have been suffering from chest diseases chronically since the age of ten! The amount of exhaust and pollution that we inhale daily exceeds all the smells of fumes, dust, fumes, gases, gunpowder, and rubble, and this affects the health of my lungs little by little, which leads to the exacerbation of health problems even more!

Also, my dear son Hamzah has been suffering since birth from an allergy to cow’s milk protein, which goes beyond the small concept (protein, milk, dairy, cheese, beef) to very, very broad types that go much beyond that (photos attached), even from some vegetables, fruits and grains. ...etc., which always keeps him in a state of allergies, severe diarrhea, and weight stability or loss, and his stomach does not accept to digest the food in most cases, as his body expels the food undigested and accompanied by severe diarrhea...

and he was dependent on it for his food. On special and therapeutic milk, it is expensive ($20) compared to other types ($5). This is in the first seven months of his life. Then he started eating vegetables and fruits. However, he faced many problems, from the simplest types, even cucumbers, as soon as he ate them. Now that he has grown up and wants to eat a variety of foods in light of their almost non-existence and constant high prices, he was forced to feed him bread, lentils, beans, canned chickpeas, canned carrots, oats, and many foods that are forbidden to him in terms of health, and he is affected by them as soon as he eats them! As for biscuits without anything, even providing them constantly is expensive as needs increase, as one biscuit is sold for ($3).

As for his weight, he began to lose noticeably, and I also had to give him UNRWA milk, which is sold in the market on the ground and under the sun all day... which was not originally suitable for the condition of his stomach... and at a very high price ($12), while it was not more than ($2)... The problem of diarrhea recurs again and thus he needs more diapers.. and he consumes the equivalent of a full package of them every week at a price of no less than 150 to 200 shekels (200 ISL), which is approximately ($70) per week only for a package. Which contains only 36 pieces.. and this is without any other expenses such as milk, food, medicines, and any other needs..

Also, most of Hamza’s winter clothes that we had prepared before he was born were burned at home, along with all of our winter clothes in our burning house.

What you do not know is that the prices have exceeded expectations and are unbearable, and we cannot always cover them. Basic necessities have become luxuries, despite their extreme scarcity, as there is no food, water, or medicine, and even the simplest medicines have useless alternatives, while infectious diseases and infections spread. Hepatitis in particular which my family and I suffered from ..

My intense desire is for my son to enjoy the tranquility that he was deprived of before he turned one in his life until this moment.. To experience and witness the innocence of childhood not burdened by fear and horror.. My son has become aware of frightening sounds.. He is in a constant circle. Out of fear, he shakes all night and cries a lot in fear and does not accept me leaving him no matter what.

The specter of losing my child looms badly and disturbingly every waking moment. Even we adults are afraid as well, as every night that passes heralds our final farewell to our loved ones.

We have lost many of my first and second degree relatives in the family and friends, more than 15 people. My grandfather’s house was completely destroyed, and I lost my aunts, uncles, and their children who were martyred and are still under the rubble and on top of the rubble for four months now. Without anyone being able to bury them or retrieve them...and my family lost a lot of their home’s belongings due to their damage from what happened. I have attached all the pictures for you, and my husband lost a number of his family, his brother, his cousins, his cousin, and many of his friends and work colleagues. In addition to his family's house (with pictures)...

Dreams have been postponed indefinitely with no home, no income, and no end to this violence.

I appeal to you from the heart to everyone who has feelings in the heart....

In order for us to travel, our names must be included in the crossing list (paid commercial permit). The coordinators in Egypt, who are authorized to add names to the list, are now demanding $8,000 per person so that you can leave immediately. If you want to wait for a few months, you can pay $5,000 per person, and they will not add the names before proving that we have the money!

Therefore, your generosity will save us from the abyss of despair. We ask you to help us with any donation, no matter how small, as it brings me one step closer to alleviating the suffering. As for your sharing of this link with family, friends, Arab and foreign colleagues at work, and any supportive institution, it is considered one of the greatest acts of kindness that you can do. Providing it to me in these difficult times, where I can secure my basic needs, such as providing a good tent and providing some necessities, and then travel as quickly as possible..

The situation here is unbearable, as we live in completely inhumane conditions, fear, terror, and cold. It has been months full of hell, terror, continuous bombing, and financial, psychological, physical, health, and mental destruction. We are waiting for death. Every second we spend here under these circumstances poses a threat to all of our lives.

And because I refuse to give up hope, I refuse to let the darkness of war extinguish the light inside me... With your help, I hope that one day we will travel to any country where I feel safe and secure... where we live and achieve what we want without fear... in a country where compassion triumphs over conflict. Hope is brighter than despair.

Remember: “No wealth is diminished by charity!” The month of Ramadan is the month of charity, and rewards are doubled, and God multiplies for whomever He wishes!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, reading, sharing and donating.
