Help Baby Jeffrey beat cancer!

On September 7, 2018, 9 month old Jeffrey was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Jeffrey will need to be in the hospital for at least the next 4-5 weeks while completing the first round of Chemotherapy which started on Sunday the 9th. His fight will continue for at least the next 9 months and beyond as we continue to get updates on how he is responding to treatment and the severity of his cancer.
Jeffrey is the happiest and sweetest baby boy you have ever seen! He was born in December of 2017 with a full head of brown hair and the chunkiest cheeks. He has two big brothers, Henry and Oliver (5 and 3), who he loves to play with and they always know how to make him laugh! His parents, Jeff and Carla are two of the most caring and devoted parents I know. This diagnosis has been unfathomable and completely devastating for them, and despite it all they put on a brave face for their children and keep going.
The financial burden and loss that comes with cancer treatments cannot be ignored. Carla and Jeff should not have to make the decision about being present in the hospital with their infant son or returning to work to make ends meet. For those of you that know Carla, you know that she has spent a majority of her life helping families in need and giving back to the Madison Community. Carla is a selfless person with incredible strength that continues to amaze me everyday. Her and her family need us now, to take some of the burden that we can help with and make a difference so she can spend her energy on her family.
This is a life changing event. Carla, Jeff and their family are so strong, but we shouldn't let them go through this alone.
