Help For Dads Battle With Cancer

A few days ago on September 19, 2018 our dad Trevor Seib got a phone call that will forever change our lives. He was diagnosed with AML which is a type of Acute Leukemia. The doctor proceeded to tell him they were admitting him right away to start Chemotherapy because if he went untreated he would likely only have about four weeks to live. Dad had his first appointment at the Allen Blair Cancer Clinic and was admitted urgently the next day to the hospital. His blood levels are dangerously low and he is at very high risk to get an infection and would not be able to fight it off. Chemo is starting on Monday and he will be in isolation to be protected from getting in contact with anything or anyone that can make him sick. He will be in the hospital for the next three months and we will see what happens from there. The next month is very critical and crucial in his battle. Day by day, hour by hour, we are trying our best to stay positive and support him in any way so he can focus on fighting this cancer.

Unfortunately our whole family has been down this road before when our loving uncle fought and lost his battle against leukemia.

This is where we are asking for help. Our dad’s work doesn’t cover him for short term disability and unfortunately he does not have anything else to fall back on. He is a single man and it’s going to be a struggle for him to pay his expenses for the next while. 

My brother and  I don’t like to ask for help but we are swallowing our pride and asking our friends and family for anything they can do. We love you all and appreciate everyone.
